Mike Barry, Fujifilm product marketing manager – digital solutions, joined a panel of suppliers at the third annual Digital Packaging Summit to discuss the impact hybrid flexo/inkjet printing technology will have in packaging. Moderated by Marco Boer of I.T. Strategies, the panel also included representatives from Mark Andy, Nilpeter, Kodak, and Gallus.

Barry shared how important it is to partner with customers as they investigate hybrid solutions like Fujifilm’s Graphium UV Digital Hybrid Inkjet Press. Each converter needs assistance to discover how the technology can gain them a competitive advantage.

Barry added that because each converter is at a different stage in their adaptation of digital, their needs will be unique. The best approach is to listen first to what these needs are and then show how the hybrid solution meets these needs.
